Evan and Lacey – Eshoot!

By Katie [Shadowplay]

Matt and I had such a great time photographing Evan and Lacey – they are seriously gorgeous couple and we can’t wait to shooting their wedding!

For Evan and Lacey’s shoot we started off at Laural Bank Park – this is where they had their first date! *Awww…CUTE!* We then headed out to Ravensbourne… Gee it was cold!!! Winter is really starting to kick in.

Enjoy!

Damian and Bec – eShoot – Sneak Peek

By Katie [Shadowplay]

The weather has been quite unpredictable lately. Our engagement shoot with Damain and Bec was originally scheduled for a couple of weeks ago but it had to be postponed due to crazy winds and wild weather. So, we were excited when we finally got to meet up with them this past Sunday in Ballandean. Storms were still predicted but we all decided to give it a shot anyway.

Ballandean was a great meeting point between their home town of Glen Innes and our place in Toowoomba. It’s a beautiful little town with some lovely vineyards.

The weather was dark and brooding to start off with, but as the shoot went on the heavens really put on a show with some breathtaking skies.

Here’s a sneak peak from the shoot. There are many more great shots to come.

Matt and Katie Photoshoot – Yay! It’s Us!

By Matt [Shadowplay]

Katie and I have been married for nearly 3 years now. As a couple who spends most of their time behind the camera, we don’t have many photos of ourselves. So, while we were in Armidale visiting our friend (and awesome photographer) James Day, I organised for James to do a ’sweetheart’ photoshoot with us.

Not only did we have a fun shoot with James and receive some beautiful photos to cherish, we also got to be in front of the camera for a change and to feel something that we’ve seen couples experience on our own shoots.

It’s a special thing to take an hour or so in amongst the ‘busy-ness’ of life and just totally focus on one another. Initially we were really nervous about being photographed but within a few minutes we’d forgotten that we were on a photoshoot and we just devoted our attention to one another.

* Thanks James for the photos and for creating an atmosphere in which Katie and I could connect with one another.

The video footage was shot by our good friend Madeleine and James’ girlfriend Lauren – both of whom hadn’t really used a video camera before. I think they did an awesome job and the video is a cool keepsake for us as well.

Jocie and Pat – Couple Shoot Video

By Matt [Shadowplay]

Jocie and Pat have been married almost 5 years and wanted to celebrate with some photos. The video gang here at Shadowplay tagged along with Katie for the shoot.

Random Fact – Katie actually shot Jocie and Pat’s wedding photos way back in 2003 when she was first studying photography.

Here’s the video we put together:

Glen and Emmalee – Couple Shoot

By Katie [Shadowplay]

Glen and Emmalee did a couple shoot with us a while back. They are a super cute couple and their photos are a great example of capturing a couple’s personality.  Doesn’t matter if you’ve been together 10 years or 10 minutes – it’s always nice to have good casual photos of yourself.
